You get my point though. The closed mindedness is unbelievable. I bet liverpool has the highest amount of people who have never been outside of their own city or at a push the country. Liver-bubble.

there is just the faintest hint of closed mindedness when I go back and we get to talking about whats it like 'there' then. and that totally different is sometimes just different and don't realise it's them that gets defensive about beaches, surfing, palm trees, pools, barbies out door living and don't seem to see that I'm not bragging and saying I'm better than them. This is just how it is.
I was there in march and it was cold wet and dull and I pulled a face at the sight through the window and the S-i-L ripped into me for having a go at her City... sometimes they do protest too much and over compensate
