I don't know about you but I couldn't really care less about England(Except if there is an Everton player in attendance). What I do care about is keeping players. All players got lambasted tonight for an abject performance but for me tonight our Joleon had a great game. OK, he missed a header for the second goal but he was coming from marking another player. If he played next year he would be the best defender for England, no doubt about it. This would have put him right in the shop window. Now he has a chance to rest over the summer and be the anchor for Everton in the next season. It is great to see Everton players doing well in Internationals and does make them better players for us. Personally I would be glad if we had no full internationals as then they wouldn't get pinched, tapped or tempted to play for another club. Anyone agree?

it'll be nice to follow the sides and weigh up the qualities so clearly lacking at england international level.

Absolutely gutted today, i watch the game and though it was over after 17 mins but we came back and lost it in the end, what a shame looks like have to pick another nation team to support!

Even if England made it, there is only going to max 3 player going, and the chance are they only going to play odd game, so they would be fresh for us at the start of next season!

Well, there is no meaning in saying anything now, since we fail to qualify!

As a welshman myself, I'm gutted wales were so rubbish and dissapointed for england too. I cant believe how rubbish england have been, but what amazes me more is how the english press attacks any england football manager after only a few games. As poor as Mclaren has been, i feel sorry for the guy with the english press like vultures around him.

Its incredible the hype that the english press build up around the england team and in a way it will be a relief that england arnt in it, purely so that we can maybe enjoy football instead of endless dicussions of "can england win it".
