Your right about Moscow being pricey, as i mentioned St Petersburg is in my opinion a far better place to go, just culturally, price wise, things to do and see, if you ever do go to Russia then that's the place you would see the real Russia, Moscow is like London in many ways, and besides its size and at times crazy busy feel its nothing special

For Bulgaria, Varna is a really nice place and if you go in the summer especially you'll have a great time their, sunny beach is in the area to the coast of Varna and if you like Scandinavian and German birds you'll love it their mate, boss beach and pubs clubs etc if that's your thing like, and will have a cracking night out their, advantage being in sunny beach all the people working their will speak English to a decent degree as well, besides their though the only place i've been is Sofia, which i really liked and wished i could have stayed more than the two days i did.

Definitely not one of them to get on the moral high ground when it comes to trips abroad, but I've been put off Sunny Beach by people saying things like "you won't even know you're in Bulgaria". I'm sure we'll stop through there for at least a night though just to see what it's like. That's the beauty of not having anything booked in advance, don't like it then you can up and leave the next day.

Aye mate i know what you mean, its just sand and bars and tourists their - decent for a day or two but no more, the cities are way better to actually get to see the place and people, ive only ever been on i think one package holiday since the age of 16 which was to Kos and by far the worst holiday i went on with the lads/gf's etc, well prefer the freedom just a flight and booking accommodation on the fly brings you

Did that in north Korea last week. Fella in our group shot a chicken and gave it to our bus driver as a gift m.. He was made up.
