If you would please allow a little self indulgence ladies and gentlemen, from the match programme, the best thing about the night for me,the man,Max,Herbie,Apricot, the legend................Terry:)I Thank you!!
Under rated; he was new to the team and had to mark the hot winger of the day Burnley's Leighton James...in his pocket.
No Coleman in the manner of modern fullbacks but a solid defender, but that was more or less the standard then.
a bit marmite like Hibbo, but what you saw was what you got. 9/10 for me

Terry Cooper at Leeds was about the only full back whom played in the modern full back style back then.

He was called an "overlapping full back" :)

Overlapping full back eh, never heard that before, who thinks up these thing, makes you wonder*shakes head in amazement.

I try not to think of him at all, not on of my favourite players at all very limited,

Standing on the Stretford End in 1977, I can never erase from my memory the image of TD allowing the Villa cross to just go past him in the League Cup Final second replay when he could have put it in Row Z. The rest is history...

I think it bobbled just in front of him that night,I lay the blame fully at that no shouldered bellend Lawson, first 2 goals he was pathetic and that winning goal it goes across the 6 yard box at a trickle he stands watching it
