This weeks issues...

1. Ipad (SkyGo) to a Big Non Apple TV. What's the best way to do it folks? (Ideally, without having to buy an Apple TV)

2. I'm living in the wilderness at the moment - mobile coverage (o2) is crap. How can I get better signal? I'm hearing things about Signal Boosters but they sound a bit Nigerian to me.

3. I have a new printer. Can someone remind me how to configure to get it to print on both sides of the paper?

1. Sawdust

2. Sawdust

3. Saw up some wood and sprinkle the dust on the printer.

*awaits ban

I actually think the config to print both sides is done via the print setup menu, there should be an option to check or uncheck.

I don't think so mate? You can run SkyGo on an Xbox which could be on any size screen.

I think the 360 is the only one you can do it with as its not easily portable.

I was doing a lot of travelling through work the last couple if years which meant a lot of hotel stays. I tried a few times connecting to a TV in the hotel room and it wouldn't work.

This is from the Sky forums

Apparently its so people still buy multiple room subscriptions or don't let their mates register a device and watch it in their homes

1/ I shall ask my cousins' husband - I think he does this and had done for a while now. 3DTV his, so not apple.

2/ Also on O2, and my brother in law is into this sort of stuff, I'll inquire.

3/ Pretty sure that's in the printer settings on whatever word processor programme you're using. Failing that try the control panel or printer setup.

Ok, the signal boost - they sounded a bit alien to him too, but from what he's told, the network set it up for you so perhaps contact O2?

Awaiting reply for the other one.

Double sided printing - when you click print, then click properties, then choose 2 sided (book). At least that's what I do using xp or vista. Don't know about other OS.

I use the Apple TV thingy to watch movies now. No more DVDs or Blu-rays, just all hard drive. So much easier if its any help.

New Service provider for the phone? I'm sure if you complain loud enough to the service department they will let you change, or at least help you out; not sure about signal boosters.

Bluejock should be right about ticking the right setting in the advanced printer menu.. maybe a troubleshoot or I find a direct question to google and someones usually asked the same thing before.

1. MHL LEAD

2. I got a suresignal from Vodafone, it gives you 100% signal by connecting via internet, I have however had to disconnect it as everyone said there was an echo/distortion, and if the router went off or internet then you would have a situation where the phone would connect auto to the suresignal via wifi but the thing would be giving zero mobile until reset.... this happened quite often, too often for a business to rely on it. There are also signal repeaters (like a tv ariel) that basically get the signal through the bricks and mortar into a building, but if it's a Joe Allen of a signal then you will only be transferring that inside.

3. Easy way : print odd pages, reload paper then evens
