Team vs QPR

GK: Howard
RB: Hibbert
LB: Baines
CB: Jagielka
CB: Distin
RM: Osman
LM: Pienaar
CM: Gibson
CM: Neville
AM: Fellaini
CF: Jelavic

Reasoning: QPR are shambolic and a goal or 2 for Jela could massively help him with Arsenal in mind. Rest Mirallas initially but give him 20 minutes to keep him up to speed. Give Neville a run out so the crowd can show their appreciation after his recent announcement and besides I can't see many other fixtures where we could do this.
Bottom line a 2 goal win going into the Arsenal game, with 1 change anticipated with Mirallas slotting into RM and Osman taking Neville's centre berth.

Forgot to add: This isn't my line up, but what I believe DM will opt for.

do think no matter how poor he has been this season Neville has earned a send off and be nice if that back pass wasn't strongest memory. Can't see us having a game that doesn't really matter though. Tough one

I hate all of this "rest your best players for the most important games" rubbish.

So what happens when QPR go two up, does Moyes then bring on Mirallas and hope he grabs a hat trick?

What a load of bollocks.

You start your best team, because the next game is always the most important game.

It doesn't matter if we beat Arsenal 16-0 if we firstly don't beat QPR, so get your best XI out there and get the game won by the hour mark, and then bring your stars off.

Baines and Mirallas and Fellaini can be replaced by Oviedo, Naismith and Barkley.

Get into these Everton. I'll boo the house down if I find out Mirallas isn't starting tomorrow.

Not a tricky one at all for me, he's uber gash, and should only get 5 mins to say goodbye in the last game if there is nothing at stake. Were chasing a european spot, its not the phil neville farewell tour

This.

did someone suggest a Neville farewell tour? I am against it too. think most fans going to agree he is getting some time on pitch as a send off. just don't see us getting into a comfortable enough position at any point. maybe a pre season trip to Bury while he is player manager there

Yeah i agree, if anything is at stake at all, the clubfooted fossil should be nowhere near the team, i think all of us would give him a warm reception were he to return in some capacity, but like you say, this is no time for sentimentality

sadly I have had a go at the bbc predictor several times and whichever realistic way I fill it in we go into last game either with an outside chance of fourth or fifth, or still looking over shoulder at the reds. I hope Moyes takes that last scenario seriously enough

if we win all games at home then we should be clear in sixth, think they will lost last game but don't want be relying on it

Exactly. We have to make sure of three points against a team that will be fighting for survival and who we have already struggled against.

I'm also surprised that people think that Anichebe should start. We need goals and, quite frankly, holding the ball up won't achieve anything unless we actually have someone to bring into play and score. I can't see Victor getting much joy out of backing into Samba who is bigger, stronger and has a point to prove after his last performance. Expect to see Victor on his backside for most of the game.
