I just don't see Utd spending £25m+ (or whatever we'd want) on a right back with 4 & 1/2 years left on their contract.

No point selling a player you will never be able to replace adequately unless you can strengthen the rest of the team massively. £25m in today's climate gets us a half decent replacement and then what? A £15m player who might be great or might be gash.

I'd rather keep Coleman. He's just brilliant and in our system, hugely important.

But that's been the main issue in that the system needs to be more dynamic and sometimes Seamus will not necessary be the best right defensive option. He is not a natural defender IMO but obviously has other qualities.

I can't remember the last time a right back in the prem was valued at £25mill and if this interest from UTD is true, then I feel he's now at his optimum value.

I hope he stays because we won't change this approach to playing, but look at what 25mill can get you if it all stayed out of Bill's pocket
