No point selling a player you will never be able to replace adequately unless you can strengthen the rest of the team massively. £25m in today's climate gets us a half decent replacement and then what? A £15m player who might be great or might be gash.

I'd rather keep Coleman. He's just brilliant and in our system, hugely important.

Talk Sport always trying to sell our players and present us as being small time

Its true this, they way they worded it was like we have a "habit" of selling to United, how many players in the last 10 years? Two? and one of them we pulled Uniteds pants down on.

The way he was going on about how its something we just got to get use to was embarrassing, what annoys me is Liverpool have sold so many top quality players over the years but they make out its Everton who always sell there best players.

Heavily running a Seamus to Manure story, Durham and Gough both saying they're not saying it should or will happen and then in the next breath asking just how long it will be before Barkley heads to Manure.

They are suggesting that Manure "are about to open negotiations with Everton over a £25 million move for Coleman."

For that kind of dough, should we consider it of just tell them to do one ?

TalkSport.

Say no more.

Can't stand that Durham.

How can a supposed national radio station that is supposed to be unbiased have a 10 minute daily 'Daily Arsenal' feature? It's just BS, the same idiot last season was slagging us off for being 'Ever-Loan'.

Firstly I advice ceasing to listen to talk sport. Or LFC FM, as it really is.

And no. We should not sell Coleman - where would we get a replacement of his ability? And if we replace him, which we'd have to, why not just keep him.

Why do blues actually want us to sell our best players? Mind boggles.

I wasn't advocating that we sell Seamus, merely advising that TalkShyte seemed to be trying to engineer it and the - according to them - eventual sale of Ross to Manure too.

cant see this happening now, summer probs

Don't even think it will happen in the summer.
He's happy at Everton and won't rock the boat. If there's one player at our club who won't rock the boat, it's Seamus Coleman, one of the most humble, nicest footy players you'd ever meet.
You try to buy an Everton player, you pay a premium. We already established the rules a long time ago.
They won't pay what we'd want them to pay.

End of story.

We've sold 3 players to Man Utd in the last 34 years.

1981 John Gidman
2004 Wayne Rooney
2013 Marauane Fellaini

Hardly a mass exodus or any sort of pattern is it?

We don't always sell to them either, as we refused to sell Baines to them.

National media pundits are anti-Everton and talk garbage.

Oooooor we could buy 417, £60,000 players for 25 mil, surely a few of them would come good again?
