One thing confuses me though: not 10 days ago, Huang was in the media vehemently denying that he had made any offer for the RS, and had merely "declared an interest". Now he's pulling out, saying that it's because he had put a bid on the table and provided proof of backing, but that the board dallied. He's already been caught out lying at least 2 or 3 times in this process, is this another porky? He could have been a great fit for them.
I'm impressed with H&G, this time I thought it could be over for them but their poker skills are truly extraordinary.
Club has 47 days to pay back their £237m to RBS or else they receive a £60m penalty from the bank. What happens after that? Nobody knows (except maybe the Americans). This is all coming to a head in the next month and a half.
