Takeover, what takeover

That's true, we dont know the fine detail of what's happening. All we have to go on is that for a club that's been open to investment for the past few years in a search that goes on 24/7 we've been conspicuously unsuccessful when you consider the amount of clubs that have changed hands.

I doubt that's down to bad luck.

I agree its a joke, but i was just saying we cant blame the club for the current storys doing the rounds, surely they know we aint stupid, the thing is, how long do we take it? When do we say enough is enough and do something about it?

My guess is we keep taking it, but the tide is turning, a lot of fans are turning their back on the club, which is a shame and something i would never do, but i can see their points to a degree.

These things don't happen over night. We can't really say that one newspaper story is clearly a lie (that we're being bought) and another (that we aren't) is clearly the truth just because it suits. Mergers & Acquisitions are tricky enough at the best of times but especially so in the current climate.

Yes i agree Bruce, i mean the City takeover was just B000M, im sure things went on in the background before hand, but the whole thing was a surprise to me. So its not impossible that something is happening behind the scenes, but we NEED something to be done before January and i just cant see it happening, but i guess now isnt the best time to buy a Football team that needs upwards of 500m investment.

Its not gonna happen overnight with us (never does) but it'll happen eventually.

It has to really or we'll be for the drop next season. The thing is, its investment not just to try and compete with the top ten teams but just to compete in the general transfer climate. When [Poor language removed] Anton Ferdinand goes to Sunderland for 8million you know prices for average players are ridiculous nowdays. And it wont change anytime soon, it'll get worst.

Thats the way I see it anyway.

With oil below USD 65 per barrel there'll be no takeover from the Middle East - having said that if Sterling keeps dropping against the USD then an investor from the Far East looks much more likely......

WTS...

Well history has repeated itself to some extent. So much for the insider information of Bose, the Sun and Mirror all meaningless hot air or paper filling exercise. Add to that what of the story that our "beloved" BK had taken on Harris to find a buyer, all seems to have died and not because of the credit crunch or that FIFA crap about foreign owners. One has to ask how much of this was in fact real bearing in mind our Bill. Seems just like another Fortress Fund scam to me to shut the fans up.

How do you feel? as pissed off as me?(n)
Not surprised really other than the fact we as fans continue to be taken in by BK and his panto antics
