Synthetic Pitches Though

we do have one, remember seeing murray play on one when he came to finch farm. The thing about 3G is that there's so many variants now of tpes of pitches that maybe the widness one was more similar to the one they play on at Bern. Whatever it was it worked a treat!

Interesting point there. I was with a Utd fan watching the game, he said our fitness levels were really good, which is not a fair reflection of the premiership season. Just shows the gulf between the two leagues.

That seem about right. They're not a bad squad, but I'd probably relate it to playing a team still in preseason form. We were running in circles around them for most of the game. They also probably generated a ton of chances based on the turf alone, which helped them create a faster pace on the attack, but could just never seem to finish a scoring chance. It was kind of interesting seeing the differences in the two fitness levels though for sure

The new stuff works for the NFL and studies have shown that the nextTurf stuff hasn't had any more injuries than grass. However they are also covered head to toe in gear so burns and cuts are at a minimum.

I saw a few matches at Toronto's plastic pitch and it seemed fine. Its a better option to have in bad weather and/or dual purpose stadiums. A stadium like the JJB would be better off playing on plastic.

We wouldn't have to spend millions on lawnmowers if we got one, just on computers. We might be able to afford players then.

As stated above, they trained on plazzy pitches to prepare for tonight.

Astro turf places much more strain on joints though, so we'd end up with more injuries.
Is there any research to support that? I hear it said a fair bit, but I play on a 3g pitch twice a week and if anything I would say it's easier on the joints. There's a HUGE difference between sand-based astro (green concrete with crushed glass on it), water-based astro (springy brillo pad) and 3g / 4g (perfection).
