Reckon he had a great game tonight, winning headers, mopping up by using PACE, holding players off the ball...

IMO is a quality centre back and had united in his back pocket.

gutted he's getting on now and probably only has another 2 years in him... imagine if he was like 25?
 

Hope his injury wasn't too bad.

Most people on here know I'm his biggest fan I think. Absolutely love the man.

Sure he'll be OK for Villa but isn't it nice to know that if he isn't we've got the superb John Heitinga waiting in the wings to step in?

Looks like a lot of our team were feeling it at the end, I notice Pienaar had tight hamstrings, Distin was knackered, Jagielka, obviously Jelavic too.

They've got four full days now to recover so it should be OK. Great game, every single one of them should be proud of themselves.

It doesn't hurt to have a bit of a deeper bench than normal. If Everton can avoid the injury bug, who knows what Moyes might be able to accomplish?
 
He really was ace and I love those earlier comment of his like
"money is nice but family is better" ( about pool and us)

I see Jags is getting lots of plaudits, rightly, he had a good game (arguably very good) but cannot agree more with the above comments. A big bloke that size and with that pace, I thought he set the tone for the defence early and the rest of them probably looked around and thought .. 'k me, sod all going to get past him tonight and the confidence exuded from there. In fairness the defence played well, United picked on each of them one-by-one .. end result, zero goals.

Bit concerned if Distin or Baines gets injured .. which other lefties do we have ?
 
When he was getting helped off, after such an epic performance, I could'nt help thinking of the magnificent James Brown giving it his all and then being helped off stage.

Distin looked in agony, but being helped off after such an epic performance, he also looked so cool
