Loads of people swear at the football. There are swearwords in some of the songs.
Is it acceptable to do it with women and children in the stadium?

Do you think it has a positive or negative effect on the players/coaching staff?

…I swear and I didn’t particularly mind my kids swearing once they were in their teens. For me, it’s more about when you swear, who you’re in conversation with and in what circumstances.

As far as footy is concerned, the swearing in chants from the terrace is totally different to how it was in 60s, I suppose it’s a sign of the times. Doesn’t particularly worry me.

As my old man said when I first went to the game:

"You'll hear words at the match you won't usually hear. Don't repeat them anywhere but here, and never tell your mother." That's the logic I've passed onto mine.
This.

Remember when I first swore at the match, dad gave me a look, smiled and said he wouldn't grass me up to mum.
Felt like a proper arl man, was only 11. He never seemed to notice after that, not that I swear much anyway. 😂

Personally, miss the days where you'd be at the game, and mirallas would blast one Iver from 5 yards and you'd hear someone shout "cart", and people would just acknowledge why they did it.
