Yes, a bit of very good news. Doubt it'll be Burma's Mandella moment though. These Generals are well cemented in power - and are aided by all the businesses who are still willing to trade with their regime.
 
The biggest shame about all that was she couldn't be at her husband's bedside as he was dying from cancer.

Makes you question the human race sometimes.

Essentially it is India who are keeping them in power with a little help from China and North Korea. India buys an awful lot of electricity from them which it needs.

I am pleased she has been released but how long will it last and are her movemennts restricted?

Dont know mate. She should get out to the US and organise from there. From what I can make out the local political scene has passed her by a little bit. Not too many opponents of the regime supported her call for an election boycott.

She's done her bit, though.
