Surgeons to get bonus

Heard on the radion news yesterday , that there is talk of performance related pay for surgeons- meanining a bonus for all succesful operations.

Sorry but thought that was what they were supposed to do!

I am in favour of it. If I was on the operating table, I would like to know they have extra motivation! :lol:

i'd like to think surgeons are motivated by not wanting to have the loss of a human life be on their hands...

if they need extra motivation, just chop off their hands when they botch it

totally taking the pish, get more nurses and pay them properly, open some of the closed wards, maybe open another theatre or 2 and get the waiting lists down.
