I read an FHM article ( i think) not long ago featuring real life American Crimefighters in Superhero outfits. Dead serious as well.

I wonder if the misdirection of the costume works in favour of catching bad un's

Dunno if you've seen it, but that bit where he gets filmed by bystanders saving that gang member from a pummeling, and drops that line about letting 5 guys beat up 1 guy over his dead body....
