Nev, come onnnn! :) he was shyte today, never at the races, his passing was abysmal, go and look again at a video of the game, it's his past that keeps him getting on the pitch.

I know he was an excellent player but yer can't survive on memories in this game. (y)

I still think he has quite a bit to offer. At the very least he's a brilliant sub, if not for his game then for his influence on the other players.
Though i would agree that next season might be too much for him

He is still up to it mate like a fine wine maturing with age

However I had consumed quite a few beers before the game and at half time

Tried to watch match of the day through one eye ( As you do you know when you can see double)

Spurs looked very well organised today.

Palacios was awesome (y)

Spurs are deeper than Liverpool now. However, Spurs won't challenge for the top 4 thanks to Gomez (well actually the penalty was a great save if Johnson was the ball). Can't think of a shakier keeper in the prem.

Palacios was great but I thought he almost threw the match w/ those idiot back passes late in the match. Mordric looks like a much different player on the left and w/ a season of prem exp.

Get in!

But the RS should've had 2 peno's IMO

The ball got away from Voronin though I would called it a pen. However, given that Caraggher got away w/ shoving Crouch in the back w/ both hands 30sec before I think not calling it was a makeup call.

These are the kind of matches that Liverpool had last year only when they got dominated they could always count of Xabi Alonso to make a beautiful pass and pull some pts out of their a##. Lucas is a terrible replacement. They look like a 4th place team that will struggle for a C-league spot if they get hit w/ and injury bug.

Luckily Rafael spent half the match playing defensive football. They are a much better team when they attack.

I like the look of Spurs, I must say.

Especially in midfield. Wilson Palacios the pitbull, Tom Huddlestone dictating, Aaron Lennon's pace and Modric's creativity.

There seems to be a nice balance there.

Spurs outfield players are good enough and deep enough to finish in the top 4. Gomez is going to kill them though, I could see him causing them to lose 10-12pts this season.
