I really Rate Ben Arfa as a player. he is not the most perfect player in the league but he can do some fantastic things when he wants to and perhaps a change of club will bring that back out of him. The fact newcastle will sell if money is on the table and he is in his last year of his contract makes him a worthy risk.

I also think that, as mentioned many times, Danny Ings will be a good signing as a back up. He works well with a strike partner rather than on his own but then we have both lukaku (hopefully) and Naismith to do that with him, which will pre empt covering barkely so to speak. Hell if we really struggle, sign vokes up at the same time and play the pair of them, they work well together. I'm joking of course but it is entirely out of the question?

Anyway third player we should look at is Callum chambers from southampton. Young, great potential and will be cheap compared to shaw. sign as back up for coleman and have the great man himself (hibbert) teach him all he knows. Could well be a Baines mrk 2 if he is as good as his potential suggests.

i think ben arfa would be brilliant here if i'm honest. him and possibly barkley vying for that ACM position, great options and he can also play the winger role although not as well.
