Carles Gil being linked heavily, 6m buyout. Essentially Deulofeu for the man on a budget, he's very raw and lacks a finishing product. Very talented with the ball at his feet though.

Would we be more suited to having three wingers on the pitch? I can see where lukaku comes into it but if we don't pass to him then whats the point? Instead have 3 quickish wingers who all interchange at the front. If you sign the right ones you potentially have an unpredictable attack line which cannot be defended against.

For example, Mcgeady will run and run, Mirallas will try to take everyone on and Deufleu will try to score. As defenders, if you dont know which one you are up against then potentially it puts you on the back foot, which drags the team back making it difficult to counter afterwards.

i have often thought the same thing, however players like barkley and pienaar have a lot to offer when on form.

Piennar us terrible and has been for a while in my own opinion. He seems to run on the fact he was once good for us, but honestly what can anyone say he adds to the team that somebody else at the club couldn't?

Barkley is the star for the future and if the board have any emotional connection to the club left then they will not consider selling him unless we are bottom 3 and going tits up. Right now, at the state of our squad i would build the team to his strengths from next season onwards, make him the star and the one that makes the team tick. I believe he is good enough.

The Osoman Empire was a fantastic Dynasty. Started really well, looked promising until a few knocks left it sat impotently on the edge of Europe no longer a player in the big game. Made quite a strong resurgence late on but was always a weak link, just too unreliable at the end of the day. Faded into obscurity towards the end as others became more dominant through imposing themselves on the international stage.

Nah I didn't watch the game. But he can't have done too bad if the game finished 2-1 away at Barcelona whist playing with 10 men for the last 10 minutes. I think he would still do a good job for us , and that he would be well worth getting in on a free. Not entirely sure he would come back to us though, I think he will have big money offers from Turkey.

He's a little bit better there for City, he is beyond terrible for england on the wing, a 'safe' player who works hard, hes not for me
