This illustrates the problem. It was complete and utter tripe made up by self loathing beauts on Twitter who speculate in the small chance they are lucky enough to call it right and to get attention and endorsement as someone who knows more than someone else.

Put them on ignore if you like but there's a thousand more waiting for that opportunity.

Bad bad bellwiffs, those making the stuff up and those believing it including loads of you on here.
Stop being a spoilsport, this is the only enjoyment I get these days.

Looks like we will have to look elsewhere for a new centreback

According to reports from The Express yesterday morning, Marseille president Vincente Labrune has ruled out selling star centre-back Nicolas N’Koulou this summer amid rumours of a move to the Premier League.

The versatile Cameroon international, equally adept in centre-back and defensive midfield, has just come to the end of yet another strong season in Ligue 1 – averaging 2.1 tackles, 3.3 interceptions, 6.6 clearances and 3.4 successful aerial duels per match – building upon his prior inclusions in the division’s Team of the Year for 2012 and 2013.

That, in combination with the 25 year-old’s contract due to expire at the end of the season, has attracted interest from the Premier League. The Express report on Arsenal’s interest in the 51-cap international, whilst Everton and Newcastle were linked by The Daily Mail in May.

But Marseille president Vincente Labrune has issued a hands-off warning to rumoured suitors of 5 foot 11 N’koulou, insisting the defender’s importance to the club surpasses that of finance.

“We know how important he is for us. What he brings us on the pitch is more important than money in a transfer,” he said.

Didn't even know we were interested tbh.
Looks like we can put it to bed though.

Suggestion. I agree about fake itks but reading this makes me confused.

After a TURgiD season, we all need hope. Hell. Being a blue, that's all we have most of the time. Though we always have a morbid humour to go with it.

A forum is for people's views. Right or wrong. Bull or not. The beauty of this is that we are generally clever enough to realise what is what. Dictating what people write or moreover, quote (mostly from "well known" newspapers) should not be policed, controlled or told that it is rubbish based purely on their long standing association with GOT or our beloved EFC.

The fact is 99.9% of us know F-all about what's going to happen. But that's fun. When reality happens, we blues come into our own. Glib, sarcastic and fatalistic in our humour. Self offacing and real if you like. We know who and what we are.

So. I suggest that this thread be changed to transfer rumours (I heard it personally from trusted source. Then another thread paper talk. Then another what I think for transfers.

Or, just leave it like it was and let your members decide what's what and don't police thoughts or people's quotes from papers and perhaps infract those that decide subjectively what they think is true or not. Alternatively, make GOT a strictly members only forum for the select like-minded few.

I love / have loved reading GOT. Don't stop that now.

We're running "as is" for the moment mate and we'll take feedback later on when everything's settled in.

It's not written in tablets of stone, but I doubt very much we'll have an "ITK" type thread, because most ITK's are deemed to be just recycling twitter rumours. Off hand, I can only think of four posters on GOT over the years who were generally regarded as truly being ITK.

I agree. The Itks are thin and far between. Way of the world. It's not bad. Would hate for real targets a la mirallas to be know by all and sundry weeks before. But that's it. The thrill of not knowing. Speculating, gets the juices flowing.

At the end of the day. Evertonians know what is real and what's not.
Treat them with that respect, is all I think.
That said, I love reading the bull and the put downs too. Part of life's rich tapestry. Darwinism if you like.

Not wrong there, lad. But I reckon the controls are there for good reason...chaos is only beautiful in the ale house

Unfortunately we get to much stick to make it worthwhile. Who were the other 3 ITKs

The bull, lets call it speculation though has it's own thread now, that's the only change.

Folk are very welcome to go into that thread and say "I heard from me mars cousin who empties the bins at Finch Farm that we're about to sign <whoever>"

If they're right, they become part of GOT folklore. If they're wrong, they get ridiculed
