Resigning Del just seems the perfect fit for all parties really. I think Barca still regard him highly. However, Enrique is a coach who, over all else, values hard graft on the pitch. This 'new mould' Barca are incredible, but not because of the tika-takka of Pep - that's gone now. No, what makes them so dangerous if the work rates of Suarez and Rakitic down their spine - and then the pressing that the other players around them do. Even Neymar pressures high. Too many teams (ourselves included) are trying to copy the model set out by Pep. But, football's evolved and teams have figured out how to stem that type of play by teams that don't have world class players.

Enrique has basically developed a counter attacking style - which is what we are actually very good at when we play well, and that's why he sent Del out to Sevilla. Emery is very similar - press high without the ball and break quickly. Yes, still control possession to break teams down, but the main chances coming from drawing the oppo out and striking on the break with sharp passing.

I think the reason Del didn't do well at Sevilla is because he couldn't really handle the work rate demands from Emery, and ergo, would not be able to handle the demands of Enrique. I think, for all his faults, Martinez is probably the best manager for Del at the moment, and Everton the right club. He'll be allowed to make those mistakes - not consistently, mind - but will get more of a license. Same with Stones and Barkley - though this season, the latter has stagnated, and for me that's Martinez' doing, and a lack of confidence from Barks, probably due to added pressure, the Goodison crowd turning on most players ridiculously quickly (I've had a ST this year and sometimes been guilty of it myself, but some of the shouts from fans are genuinely baffling) as well as defenders now man marking him.

.....according to latest reports from France, Marseilles president is keen to sell Everton target Dmitri Payet because the club are struggling financially.
And the president thinks he's been "average" since they signed him..

He was only like 19/20 yrs old + with the form we were in most of that season, not many youngsters without first team footy would of been able to walk into r team then!

The exact quotes from Marseilles chairman, Vincent Labrune are:

"We have offers for several players. If we have an offer that we like, we will open the door. We have never had as many offers for as many players as we do now. Thauvin, Imbula and Payet have a lot of offers. We have to sell someone before the 30th June in line with what we agreed with the DNCG. We tried to make a really competitive team this year, we came far. But we have to balance the books.”

Sounds like at the right price he can go but if interest is high and you get a few teams bidding it'd take any chance of getting him on the cheap though.

Whilst in all honesty we haven't really been linked with N’Koulou, however he has always been mentioned and is on the top of many wish lists but we can rule them selling him however. Labrune stated:

“We know how important he is for us. What he brings us on the pitch is more important than money in a transfer.”

So we can rule signing him out.
