The one with only Townsend and Gray coming in was underwhelming. But off the back of two relegation battles, this one hurts way more. The club has paralysed itself with these stadium costs - it will take many years to recover.

We need to find a good loan deal for a striker that we can actually get and get right now. It's too risky trying to negotiate deals for players that clubs want to keep at this stage, and the same applies to loaning players at the end of the window when everyone and their mate is scrabbling around trying to get the ones that are left.
