Summer transfer window 2023

If Gnonto is next in, after Danjuma, we have 4 guys who prefer playing on the left.
McNeil, Iwobi, Danjuma, Gnonto.

Iwobi can play deeper of course, but we have numbers in midfield as well.

Hopefully one of the new lads can play lone striker to help cover DCL

To be fair, if you look at Gnonto, he played 22 games in the 21/22 season through the middle in Switzerland before playing for Leeds and 47 times in that position overall and hes played 22 times on the RW

Danjuma has played 229 games and 92 have been from LW, so less than half

Iwobi hasnt played on the left for us for a while, probably the 19/20 season since he really played there regularly

McNeil is probably the first choice LW, but if we sign Danjuma and Gnonto, they can both play on the Left, but can also play as SS or RW Danjuma can play as CF. It gives us options, which we didn't have last season

I'd take him on loan, but he just isn't worth the money Chelsea would want for us right now
If Chelsea went after Onana I could see him coming to us on loan potentially but of course it would be up to the player. Haven’t seen much of him since palace so a bit meh about him. We certainly shouldn’t be paying £30million plus for a midfielder this summer when we have gaping holes elsewhere in the squad.

There seem to an increase of activity on our side and links popping up everywhere for different players that we have no money currently to sign, unless of course we have made or in the process of making a big sale. Wondering if onana is going after all probably chelsea or west ham

Arnaut Danjuma is now just one step away from joining Everton after coming extremely close to joining AC Milan in the summer transfer window.

That is according to a report from AS, which notes that the Toffees are set to pay £3.5 million while also covering the forward’s wages – presumably to secure a loan deal for the Dutchman.

£3.5 million -- Isn't that quite a high fee to pay for a 12 month loan? Is this a credible and accurate source?

Dychey had a dream...

I think he would be great for us too....

Especially if we have eyes on Garner as right back.

But agree that no way are we going to sign him with the money suggested.

Whats the correlation with Gallagher being a good signing if Garner is at right back?

This is the only way the Gallagher rumour makes sense. As part of an Onana deal he would be filling a gap in the squad. If our midfield remains intact then he makes no sense

3.5m is probably ok for a year's loan on a player who'd probably be 25-30m to buy.
