As much as I'd love balogun, can't see how we could afford hum and he'll have offers from teams playing in europe

He’s 21 and spent his 20-21 year on loan in France where he scored a bunch. My guess is he moves for around 30mil with some silly add ons. He’d be a great get tbh but we’ll be priced out no matter what.

Waiting for someone with 50 or whatever Arsenal appearances gets you Alex Iwobi or a 60mil price tag…Balogun is the type we should target, just need to be bringing them in before they break out if possible.

Exactly this. At Real Zaragoza, Sanllehi is "General Director" with a Sporting Director under him. It would be an attempt to replicate the Spanish structure used by City. President/Chairman (Khaldoon); General Director/CEO (Soriano) and Sporting Director/Director of Football (Begiristain). The Chairman is a symbolic leader and nowhere near any transfer business. I think It's a good model but I am not convinced Sanllehi is the right man for the job. In the meantime, it looks like we have Kenwright running things for the most important transfer window in our history.

If it's true about that 'Sanllehi' then it's starting to seem more like we've got 'Joorabchian' running the show then anyone else. We already know Mosh loves him and now this matey and with Moshiri putting himself on the board. Something ain't right..

I'm really only interested in forwards and goalscorers. We can win games with the current defence and midfield but we can't win games if we can't score.

Genuine question though: is Balogun actually any good?

Although I watch a reasonable amount of Ligue 1, I haven't manage to catch many Reims games at all this year. Although he did score in at least one game I watched, he seemed to spend a lot of the game lazily backheeling and flicking the ball. Wasn't too impressed with him when I watched him for Boro the other year either.

Genuine question as, although the sample was small, I wasn't too impressed at all but his numbers are impressive this year.

think best thing for him would be a loan to see if he can keep his form from the u23. If was ready would have got more game time last season with the lack of attackers
