Sat with the lads father dick Head. We tried signing him 12 months ago. He has his coaching badges and physio badges. Doesn't mean he's going to be our keeper. Number 2 maybe.

Just had a chat with a good pal. Chris Maxwell the blackpool keeper is a done deal joins end of the season

It's more sad you believe that.

We aren't selling Pickford and signing Chris Maxwell as our new #1

To sign a (soon to be) relegated championship keeper seems peculiar to me.

At first i thought perhaps he's an average championship keeper to come in as 3rd choice replacing Lonergan. But it still seems strange.

Not sure what to make of it.

@sheedys big toe who has their coaching and physio badges?

I think we can see that Cannon isnt showing hes 'average' in that division.

His numbers seem to have him as a 1498mins, 8 goals forward.

Perhaps a 15-20 goal a season man in the championship.
Would like to see what the lads who have watched the youth team think about him and simms. Only what i have read is cannon looks like to have more talent, could be a good squad option next season with mills

I think Simms and Cannon are both good at Championship. Rotating them and add 1 experienced ST, it will be enough. However, we are lack of creative from Mid and back. Cannon and Simms are good but they also need supply from back.

I havent seen it with Simms...not enough positive exposure bar the goal and then the big miss against United.

He is absolutely average in that division!

Its not a knock he is an inexperienced kid. Compared to every other striker in that league he would be mid range at this moment in time. Same with Simms.

People need to stop thinking that we can play a bunch of kids in the Championship and coast it, it's a tough league.

He is a very frustrating player.

Inconsistent?

In 16.64 games worth of mins hes got 8 goals. Thats 22 goals worth over a season.

Doesnt sound average to me? I dont think anyone has said anything like the part ive bolded.

What I would say is that people are praising Newcastle and thats due to their spine...

Pope -- Botman -- Guimaraes -- Joelinton -- Isak

It doesnt matter what league/division youre in, you always start with the Mourinho approach to improve the spine first.

I think they will both be upper end championship strikers. The one part of the pitch I'm not too worried about as I think once our so called premier quality strikers are moved on. The youth are ready to step up.
