Are you seriously advocating we keep buying and buying and buying when we have so many players that need shipping out, arguably first?

If we kept buying we’d end up with a squad of a lot 900 players.

We have money. I’m certain of. What we don’t have, and no club on earth has, is an endless pit of wage money.

Players like Walcott are the ones we should be getting rid of first.

Stories coming out of France tonight that PSG have bid for Gueye, too. We’ll sell him and Lookman.

This ambitious era is a load of bull. We’re no more ambitious than Leicester and West Ham.

Gana is very good at what he does, but the skills in his role aren’t that rare- guys who can tackle and defend are easier to find than guys who can score 15 goals. If we can sell Gana and get big money for him at his age, get a guy who does 80% of what he does at 40% of the price, and have funds left over to invest elsewhere, grab it and run.

Edit: Gana and his comps in this thread are all African. Bet that good scouting of AFCON- or Copa- would yield a couple of young players who could do the job and come cheaply.

Main problem would be finding a European among them as most of those players can't get a work permit for the UK.

You’re right. We should be getting rid of Walcott and people like that first.

But we have made mistakes with wages in the past and finding buyers for those is essentially impossible.

Look at Sandro. Hell look at Garbutt. Nobody will pay what we pay him a week. So loans are the best.

And as I keep saying. Silva clearly likes Walcott anyway. No matter what we all think.

Your usual posting style would suggest it was but for me Sell to buy is a massive positive right now.

Sell the crap, and probably a few weird faves like Vlasic and Lookman who people like even though they’ve done literally nothing for us, and then buy better replacements.

This is how I see it, we need to get crap out the club and off big wages, sell one and replace him, makes perfect sense, we can't just keep signing players without selling to prove some kind of weird point

We’re selling Lookman, hardly going to be a loss. He’s done absolutely nothing at us and yet you act like we’re selling all our best players.
