Summer Transfer Window 2017

If you had offered me the deals we have done and only, at present, losing Lukaku of any real note, at the start of this window, I would have been delighted.

We do still need a top class striker and left sided defender but if the suitability is not there then we should not panic buy.

Other clubs around us have struggled with certain targets.

That is the nature of the modern game with the obscene finances knocking about.
This is transfer deadline day ffs. It is most definitely NOT the time for reasonable posts.

No left sided defender - fail

No striker - fail

reckon Koeman will be a bit miffed again.

Problem is, we have a few decent players injured, so once back we could be alright. Not getting anywhere near the top 4 though IMO, they are all too strong. Arsenal seem to be happy to bend over and be like us now it seems. It will end up being the top 5 with us fighting out a EL spot again with Arsenal and WBA.

Thing is it's just like a circle now Exept we don't have a good striker upfront. How the hell can you Build on a circle? I need more diazapam to numb this no striker stuff

if anyone thinks we can sell lukaku and have a better season with 3 youngsters who wont score 10 goals between them is very much mistaken.
the siggurdson signing is also redundant without a target to aim for.

its going to be a long goal barren season imo. get ready for lots of 0-0 draws and losing by 1 goal.

Also, I will add, it doesn't take away from our previous deals, which have been good.

But it's clear what we're missing. It should have been addressed.

I understand why we left it late - I half expected it - but serious mistakes have been made by the people at the top (Walsh, the board, whoever) if we don't get those two positions, or at least one.
We will still finish 7th for me. But not adding a centre half and a striker will mean we don't close the gap on those above us.

Arsenal bend over but have Sanchez, Lacazette, Giroud, Welbeck and Walcott as their striker options. Spot the difference.
