Tbh depressing enough signing promising youth players never leads anywhere. 99 % won´t be good enough and those who are will be picked up by clubs who are able to sign ready made players. Look at Southampton, West Ham etc.

I would imagine Barkley has determined on Spurs , and we either accept their recent offer or by Jan that offer will be reduced. If we accept neither he can go to Tottenham for nothing and trouser a massive signing on fee. In this situation the player has all the power.

So with two hours and 25 mins to go we still have no striker (Vlasic can't be the striker surely) and no CB/LB cover either.
Apart from Siggirdson we haven't really made any public bids for anyone of note. Would be nice to see us at least try and make bids for some class players. At least it shows willing if nothing else.
