Summer Transfer Window 2017

I believe it's a release fee for Tadic. It does seem a bit low though.

But according to pals who watch him regularly he's more hit and miss than our own (for now!) Barkley.

Could be a declining release clause as his contract went on?

E.g first year 30m, 2nd year 20m 3rd year 13m

From what i have seen apart from the 1st season saints fans wouldn't be overly disappointed if they lost him

You reckon this will be a first team signing or a signing for the u23s?
Its another young lad to go with the Klassen & Sandro links despite Koeman stating he wanted to go for 26-29 year olds

...interesting @Nymzee mentions him playing LB and the clips I watched support that view. Seems a bit small for a CB although he has got the Micah Richards bulk on him. Looks composed on the ball, so he could be the back up LB that has been talked about and potential long-term replacement for Baines.

He definitely wouldn't be happy coming here to go in the U23's despite only being 18. He'd need assurances.

Think people are reading too much into Koeman's quote: the way I took it is he wants some more experienced players but it doesn't mean he's not going to sign younger players.

He's not good enough on the ball to play LB permanently (think Holgate) but he's strongner than he looks and has a decent leap. Absolutely rapid as well for a CB. His teammate Boscagli is similar but miles better on the ball. Was France's starting LB in the U20 World Cup.

Might find it later if i could be bothered, just use google pal.
Same interview were he said dont expect 6 or 7 kids in team as we already have 2 or 3 in there already

Yeah ive seen the interview now, he doesnt say we will ONLY target players in the 26-28 age group, he just said we need more players in that age group, peak players, like Bolasie for example, im sure he wont let an age restriction mould the window, we will sign talented players regardless of their age.

My only concern with that is over bulking the squad with players, which then gets harder to manage, im a fan of making sure your back up for most positions (apart from GK, centre back or centre mid) should be a young palyer, say 23 and under.

Please no more Bolasie type signings

True but we don't know who'll be departing yet. We really only have Baines, Garbutt (probs go) and at a push Galloway for LB and some ageing CB's so with him being able to do both might just be to replace those.

Or sign him and send him back to Nice for a year or two.
