Klaassen would make us better. He's more effective than Ross. Less flashy granted but he does it at Intl & Europa League not just Eredivisie so I think he can step up.

Exactly. He's the Ajax captain as well so he's a leader which is a bonus. I'm in.

I was about to say that Klaassen reminds me of Naismith, both in looks and playing style

He might chip in with a few goals, but what we don't have at the moment is any real creativity from our midfield three. Klaassen wouldn't really add that, which is why I was hoping for a Tielemans-type player

Klaassen has 12 assists this season, and doesn't take corners or free-kicks...

He's exactly what this team is missing from midfield in that he actually looks to make forward runs into the area and that's why he gets goals.

Davies does it, but he's the only one.

As awful as Naisy was at the start, and as bad as his touch and sometimes his passing continued to be later on, he outshines any of our attacking options when it comes to intelligent movement in the final third. Agree. Moshiri should give him another role. Maybe let him do the Goodison stadium tours so he can wax lyrical about Dave Hickson and the boys pen, and let the professionals conduct our transfer business.

Both strikers strongly linked so an ideal game to take in I'd have thought.

I think this is where people don't watch Klaassen as much as they do look at stats.
Klaassen in almost every game I have seen him, links the midfield to the attack, he is much more than just scoring tap ins, he drives the team forward and gives 110% in every game.

They don't make Naismith's captain of the mighty Ajax because he can score from 5 yards every other game, he is a really talented player, much more than just chipping in.

A three of Gylfi, Klaassen and ross behind Romelu or another striker sounds good, what it doesn't do however is give us much width, something I think is a weak spot of koemans. Lennon struggling, Delboy loaned, Mirallas taken off every game, lookman dropped, Bolasie crocked.

I think Koeman wants the real width to come from the full backs whilst the two "wide" players in the system tuck inside a bit - much like the system they use across the park. It's one of the reasons we've looked so toothless at times since Coleman got injured.

Klaassen - I'm pleased people disagree with me about him. Makes me a little bit more optimistic. My issue is that I think we're lacking goals and creativity from the midfield unit and the attacking unit (barring Rom), Klaassen looks a good player and absolutely looks like he'll add goals from midfield and I can imagine he would be a really good addition especially away from home with the timing of his runs etc. I just worry, based on only seeing him a few times, that despite his assists stat, he doesn't look capable of providing that really creative spark from midfield in the manner that Tielemans has done this season (although I accept it looks like that ship has already sailed to Monte Carlo).
