Summer Transfer Window 2017

Gonna be a bit special this kid.
The scout that "found" him reckons out of all the players he's passed on over many many years he is right up there talent wise with another he "found" a while ago....Zlatan Ibrahimavic.
As we are all aware theres no guarantees , but at 19 this lad looks to have everything and obviously will only get better.
If Koeman can sway him to come here I'd be willing to bet Koeman would give him every chance to be Top Draw. Great prospect.

Totally agree with all that mate

Walker would be an immense signing but no way he'll go to a club outside of the top 6. He'll either sign a new deal or to to one of City/Utd/Chelsea.

Trippier is a more realistic target and one I wouldn't mind seeing join us. We need a whole new back 4 this summer.

No one is saying we should go for Walker, just making a point that IF he was to leave Spurs, which with rumours he wants out and City want him, it's quite possible, then Trippier would be out of the question imo....

I know we have an abundance of central midfielders, but if West Brom sign William Carvalho and we don't even have a look at him i will be a tad disappointed. Barry and McCarthy are both on their way out, Besic has injury problems; leaving Davies, Gueye and Schneiderlin. I think he'd be a really good signing

Mourinho called him unmanageable , conte wouldn't entertain him in a squad and klopp who prides himself on man management bombed him out in a heartbeat niasse style . The only one who really indulged him was Mancini and he ended up having an actually physical fight with him .

It's not like nobody has tried .
Nice manager is making a decent fist of it to be fair.

Never going to happen.

The manager has already had his clearout and gotten rid of most of the players he didn't want.
Kone will leave at the end of the season as his contract is up, but players like Barry and Jags I feel will be kept as part of the squad for another season. Mirallas and Funes Mori will probably not be happy as squad players and substantial offers could see them sold or see them forcing a move away...maybe.
The manager will try to keep most of what is already at the club and add to it. The last thing he wants is to have to bring in seven or eight new players and to build a new team from scratch

A substantial offer for Sulky Kev.

Really?

You never know what might happen but I wouldn't rule out Koulibaly completely. We wanted him before and he'll know that and the only other club that wanted him when we did last summer, Chelsea, seem to if turned their attentions to other players, most notably van Dijk!

But I'm not too worried about us bringing in a CB or 2, there's plenty of quality out there to choose from, from the likes Keane, Maguire, Gibson, van Dijk, Koulibaly, Acerbi, Manolas, Rudiger, de Vrij, Davinson Sanchez, Veltman, Rubén Semedo, Nastasic, Tah, Bruma, Vestergaard, Laporte, Lemos, Gimenez, Inigo Martinez, Kara Mbodj, Engles, Kjaer, Musacchio to name a few....

No Bramble?

Dolberg looks like he has that magic. Surely Koeman could call in some favours and get him in?

Not overly convinced on Klaassen from what I've seen but who knows.

Tielemans is in that same bracket as Dolberg where the quality is obvious but they aren't ready to play for a CL side yet.

In full football manager mode, best case for me would be:
Rom stays
Ross stays

In:
Dolberg £15m
Tielemans £20m
VVD or Koulibaly £40m
Mertens £20m
Rooney free
Hart £10m
Garbutt/Kenny step it up to cover FB positions

£105m

Out:
McCarthy £15m
Funes Mori £15m
Kone free (out of contract)
Stek £1m
McGeady £2.5m
Cleverley £8m (done)
Deulofeu £15m
Mirallas £10m
Valencia end of loan
Niasse £10m when Hull stay up
Barry free

£76.5m

Net spend £28.5m + extra £400k pw net wages.

Our side would be:
Hart

Coleman (when fit) - Williams - VVD - Baines

Morgan - Davies/Tielemans - Gueye/Besic

Rooney/Ross - Mertens/Bolasie

Rom/Dolberg

I can't see any reason why we couldn't bring in all of those targets. The hardest would be VVD/Koulibaly and there are plenty of players out there we could try for instead.

I actually think Mertens is the least likely on there
