We need a squad of 22 or so outfield options next season. So that to me is an increase of about 5.

So if we lose say lennon, kone, and Lukaku. We need as a bare minimum 7-8 players. It's a bit of a mess tbh. And I think we'll see a lot more than 3 outs too.

This is why I think he will want to take up the option on Valencia, were not going to get that many player if we are spend 20/30/ on players but will need some 12m ones

if we want to compete at the next level then it is crucial that we keep our best players. we've got a big enough job getting players in the summer without having to replace any key men as well

i think he's free because they got relegated, could be wrong, anyway, i don't think he'd want to come here because he knows he wouldn't be a starter.

Spot on mate. Footy Manager has pretty but much ruined any significance to stats.

Gana got great stats for Villa which people only noticed after we signed him as they searched for a positive to signing him.

I expect to see total stat fest this window.

If @toffeejack is correct and he is on a free due to relegation then Defoe for free is > Valencia for 12M.

Adding depth without paying transfer fees could be critical given what we need to do. Charlie Taylor, Defoe and Ghezzal on frees are worth at least a look.....

My guess is max we get 50M plus player sales to work with. Since we rightly don't want to sell our valuable players that limits us from a spending perspective.
