Summer Transfer Window 2017

We can't just sell every squad player just because they aren't in the first team. I'd we did we'd have to sign about 11 players in the summer. As it stands I'm sure we will see the likes of dowell, Walsh, Pennington and Kenny getting regular games in the Europa league, but not necessarily the premier league.

That's true, but Del, Clev and Niasse are, for all intents and purposes, already gone. McCarthy has only played 612 minutes this season and Lennon has only played 509. I would think those 5 (and Tarashaj) are likely to be sold. If we bring in 1 CB Funes Mori might stay, if 2 (or if a really good offer comes in for him) then i think he likely goes too.

Besic gets healthy (we hope) and we sign 5-6 players who we actually put on the pitch and then promote 1-3 youth and things would work out.

The key is getting quality beyond the starting XI that we actually play. Buying 3-4 high quality players (like a Keane or Sigurdsson) that push current starters to the bench along with purchasing 1-2 "squad" type players will elevate our team.

Exactly, what on earth some of our fans are smoking by saying sell mori etc. That would leave us with over 30s and kids, that'd be stupid. We all know cleverly is gone and will be accompanied by kone, niasse and mcgeady. Mccarthy may get sold now if Koeman is furious, but nobody else needs to go. People listing barry and jagielka are talking stupidly, there's no value in selling them. Complete football manager stuff

Not that bothered to be honest. Just hope we look abroad, and not pay over the odds for Gibson or maguire.

Same, I don't think we need two centre backs, only 1 is really needed and I do find the chasm of difference in defenders we're supposedly linked with koulibaly, de vrij, manalos and van dijk for massive money vs keane, Gibson and mcguire for £20m ish. I would rather just one of those top bracket ones (van dijk being my less preferred because of the price) and focus on all the other areas that need addressing.

I disagree about your previous post. I think there's a very good chance Mori will go, depending on his injury. Ultimately if RK thinks Mori's not up to the job. Then he's not going to keep him as 4th/5th choice. When he can potentially get over 10mil.

And with jags past his best, I think koeman will buy 2 centre backs.

I'm hopeful for a big summer spending spree which will have us all smiling from ear to ear.

This is Everton though so I'm expecting another summer of frustration, angst and bitter disappointment with the usual hard luck stories and fake bids thrown in for good measure.

Let's see what happens.

Harry McGuire? Please no. What a distinctly average ( in fact below average) signing that would be. We need to be aiming much higher than that. We need to be competing for players who would get in the first 11 of those above us if we really want to compete.

I think if it's a transfer window of frustration Big Ron will be away. I don't believe he'll hang around if we don't fund the project.

I think it's just paper crap tbh, I'm not sure the media are too aware martinez has left and we're not aiming for players like cleverley and mcgeady. Mcguire is that sort of player that moyes would have to go for because of the limited funds, we'll prove them wrong this summer hopefully.
