Great time to be an average footballer. We'll be competing with the rs, utd, Arse etc for squad players going to be a hard sell only teams that don't need numbers in are probably Spuds and Chelski but if Costa goes they'll buy.

I imagine the team starting next season will look massively different to the one we have seen this year. I think he plans to build the team around Schneiderlin, whether this be 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3 or otherwise I think he will be the constant. Then I imagine we will get one of Keane/Maguire/Gibson and then somebody like Manolas/VVD/De Vrij. Leaving us room to let go of Jagielka and RFM, Williams and Holgate as CB cover.[/QUOTE]

If we pull 1 CB from each of those groupings of 3 i would be very happy. Doubt it will ever come to pass, but would be thrilled if it did.

Gana will be linked with all the media darlings now especially after Kante's rise. The Sky 6 will all be expected to follow suit and find their own Kante and Gana will be the media's first target. It'll all be BS though.

nah they will both need players big time, chelsea very lucky with injuries this season and had no europe, spuds need a lot more depth in their squad too.

I keep seeing this line of Chelsea strugling next season due to Europe alot but i really dont get it, we've been in the CL every season for the last 15 years, we only missed out once, and we always finish among the top 3, we're not like Spurs who barely have any experience in it, we will manage just fine.
But we will spend a lot of money this summer apparently as Conte has made it clear that he wants to challenge for the CL next season, could see as many as 5 new starters next season, like a ST(Lukaku?) RW(Bernado Silva/Alexis) CM(Bakayoko) CB(Christensen/VVD/Ake) LWB(Mendy) RWB(Sidibe). So we could have a few players departing this summer, Willian/Pedro, Fabregas/Matic, Chalobah, RLC( loan), Musonda(loan), Kenedy( loan, you guys should be in for him btw), Begovic(You guys should also be in for him), Batshuayi, Abraham( loan).... the list goes on and on.

i didnt say you'd struggle cos of europe next season, i said yous had it easy this season without europe.

You nthink he gets into the team ahead of either Schneiderlin or Davies if we play a two man midfield mate? subbed off at half time twice in the last 7 games and when we went with dropping one of the centre mids to bring Barry in then he was the one left out the team.

First 19 games of this season he played the full 90 16 times and missed a total of 41 minutes in the other 3 - each time when we where losing and he was subbed off.

Last 10 games hes played in since the AFCON and his rest after it, played the full 90 5 times, missed a total of 198 minutes in those games

Since Davies broke through into the team his importance has clearly diminished (as frankly has his form since and shortly before he went the AFCON)

I would say he is still ahead of Davies yeah.

Gueye is more of a system player than the other two, he is expandable if you need to change formation whereas the other two are more flexible.

I have seen a few people saying Gueye is playing badly, he really isn't. He is just the first one to go if your team needs to be a bit more attacking.

I disagree.

4 senior CB are the minimum. Say 2 new CB plus Williams and keep one of Jags or Mori.
