Moving to a team who have already deemed you not good enough once before and let you go, to a manager who doesn't seem to favour English players unless they are absolutely top quality and who is by all accounts bombing 2 English centre backs out the club who at the same age Keane is now where both England internationals and who are still only 25 and 27 respectively (Jones and Smalling)
Worked out alright for Leighton baines

...Stones' form had dipped with us anyway, I think he's been better of late after a very shaky introduction. I think you make a valid point that the grass isn't always greener but players want to join these more glamorous clubs for football and financial reasons. We'll know we're in the mix when our best players want to stay.
Great point.

Didn't he reject us because he wanted European football?

..apparently he wanted a 'bigger club' and Arsenal were keen. Reports suggest we are in pole position so perhaps he just wanted to run his contract down for a mega bucks Bosman. Probably jarg reporting but we'll find out soon.

Is he any good like never seen him play?

You;re not wrong there mate. Stones not working under Koeman could be a huge career mistake for him.
A huge mistake footballing wise, but not financially. As in my original post, I'd love to have seen how stones would have developed under koeman this year, but also playing alongside Williams (great experience). Contrast that with city where's he had otamendi (poor) and even kolorov alongside him.
