Summer Transfer Window 2017

Fair enough. I agree that we have a good thing going, but Koeman has given every indication that he wants to build a 'destroyer.' I think it is the main reason he has kept McCarthy at the club. Imagine what Burnley did to us in the first half except a million times more competent. Klopp has his team in a champions league place because they are so good at disrupting play. I think Koeman is trying to achieve a similar goal.
Which makes me wonder why we have a Rooney thread.

Tielemans would have to play the exact same role as Davies, and considering that in Davies we already have a teenage attack-minded CM potential star, I'm STILL baffled why people keep banging on about Tielemans. Why would we bring in basically the exact same player profile except for the fact that he's never played in the prem and isn't a boyhood blue?

I wonder if we see him playing further forward as part of a front 3? Possibly a replacement for Ross?

Basic answer, because on youtube he has scored some absolute worldies from distance, and guessing those that play FIFA and FM rate him as apparently he goes on to become a brilliant player on them games (at least thats what i surmise)

Zlaton being out for 9 months may intensify thier pursuit of Lukaku, if of course they are interested

You heard that was a done deal?

Went to Atleti V Sevilla few weeks back and was drinking with a few guys who are in the 'frente' , their ultras or whatever, and travel to away games a lot which is rare here. One of them was a lawyer who has worked with the club for his firm and he said Griezmann to Man U was done and dusted. Also said Atleti definitely at least made some contact about Lukaku also last summer.

Yeh but my initial point from last night was Davies, Gana & Schniederlin are a midfield 3 I wouldn't touch and even Tielemans who is highly rated wouldn't displace any of them in my opinion. Not sure where this destroyer stuff comes into it.
I agree, don't 'fix' what isn't broken

We are going to need more players than what has been discussed.

I love Tom Davies and like that he can play a bit more advanced than Morgan & Gana, but he's still better in that central/defensive role. Ross is our advanced middy, Rom is our striker, but even if Yannick comes back healthy, we need at least another ACM to sit behind Rom and/or another striker to play with him. Tielemans can play with Ross behind Rom if we wanted him. Hell, he could even push Ross up farther the pitch, which would be a very good look. Ghezzal isn't amazing, but he's a cheap alternative to play out wide, which we also need, so that's why we are interested.

I would also hope we sign a few talented younger guys to play on the U23, but develop and eventually replace some of the current players.

I've thought about him too. Anyone know what the deal is with him? Seems like whenever he's given game time, he scores goals. But he doesn't seem to be in Guardiola's plans. Wonder if he'll be available this summer.

Wants out in the summer. Desperate for first team football.

Got him on FIFA career mode?!!

Leroy Sane and Leon Bailey actually.

you heard something mate?

Nothing concrete. Just heard us (along with pretty much everyone else) are interested.

I haven't got a clue if it's done or not to be fair, just as it's being reported, there's a lot of interest from United in him.

Plus I think his brother was tweeting about United the other week. Just none stop United stuff.

God, I hope we never become like them. After Ferguson, this club has become a circus. I've got the feeling that their plastic fans are much more interested in who they sign and how much they spend rather than how they actually perform and play. Some kind of Sky monster.

That is the perfect description of the average redcafe user.

Chico would have a meltdown if he posted there, redcafe makes our football manager experts look lightweight in comparison.

You don't know why we'd want to bring in a 19 yr old, who almost scored 1 in 2 from midfield, with most of those goals coming from outside the area?

Really?

They're not the same player profile, Tielemans is more creative and scores goals.

Much more like Ross.

Need at least:

GK (first XI)
CB (first XI)
RB (first XI/rotation with Holgate)
LB (back-up but eventually phase Baines out)
CM (depth)
attacking CM (first XI)
winger (first XI)
striker (back-up)

And that's before selling anyone.
