Think Slimani would actually be well suited to us, and bag 10-15 especially with Glyfi. Realistically, who else are we going to sign at this point? They ballsed up by not getting a replacement sorted before Rom left. Can't see where Sky have actually said that though.

Calling DCL a superior player to Slimani is nothing but a combination of duel Everton and Youth player biases rather than anything based on reason, logic, statistics or common sense. DCL can become a good player, I believe that, but he isn't better than Slimani right now.

Going from Lukaku to Slimani is akin to going from Knightsbridge to Luton. You seem to think there's no centre or choice in the entire world.

That's a very confused post. We were never going to get a striker at the same level as Lukaku, so every striker coming in isn't going to compare favourably with him.

But you're dismissing a striker with a good PL goal / minutes ratio, whilst lauding young DCL as a better option on the basis of 1 MOTM award? DCL has scored 1 PL goal.........he's got great potential but no way is he capable of leading the line here all season and in 4 competitions, so we need an experienced striker to come in.

While Dominic Calvert Lewin was scoring a few goals for Northampton in League Two, Slimani was scoring 27 league goals in 33 games for Sporting.

To suggest that DCL is better because he has won ONE man of the match award. You're actually crackers.
