Finners
Yesterday -in WHULEI game- there was atleast two clear cases of deception. Expecting bans.

Interesting to see how many there will be today. Discuss cases here. Good luck to diving panel to work these cases. We need to enforce rules Fairly and Equally. Thanks.

Yep, I thought exactly that when Ayew went down the little scruff. Jamie Carragher saying well there was contact the absolute danger.

Ban's only come into play when a player has dived, and the ref awards a pen Finners, if a player blatantly dives in the box, and the ref doesn't give the pen, then no action is taken against that player (maybe a yellow card from the ref) Also, you don't get punished for conning the ref by diving to win a free - kick, even if your team scores from that free - kick.

But it seems they have moved the goalposts.

They have added a bit which states “gains significant advantage” from the deception.

This presumably means winning a penno from which your team scores.

Which is nonsense of course.....the “significant advantage” of a goal can come from “deception” anywhere on the pitch.

Because I can successfully deceive the linesman that a ball which came off me for a throw in on the halfway line had actually came off an opposition player and from the resulting throw in my striker scores :(

This bollox will collapse under the weight of its own absurdity before too long.

CBA checking but I'm sure a penalty kick is no different from a free kick in principle
Being if you're fouled inside the box a penalty kick is given outside it's where the offence took place
I'm determined to get Niasse off his ban

If you are going to do this you would be much better having a video ref adjudicating there and then.

That way the team on the wrong end of it are not being doubly punished.

Because if Oumar had been properly guilty as charged then Palace are suffering twice over.

First up with the goal from the penno which denied then two extra points.

Plus Oumar, our top scorer, will miss out a game against a team in the bottom three with them, Hammers.

In fact, Palace would have been better off applying to drop the charges, if such a course of action is allowed, so as he could play in that game

Whilst Niasse did go down very, very easily :) I think the FA have made a rod for their own backs with his ban because, every time a player goes down now and wins a pen with minimal contact, they'll have to be seen to be being consistent, and charge that player.

Yes. If they are truly serious about enforcing this, they need to back it up with technology to establish the extent of contact/intent/simulation etc. A decision could be made quickly before any on pitch sanction - card/pen - is made. It could very well make the 3 man adjudication panel redundant (or at least less necessary) - better given the variants of interpretation of what has been seen and also not have to rely on the 'Pools Panel' nature of them. It could also dilute the field day the media have after controversy occurs too...trial by tv pundit now having become the accepted norm/pain in the arse.
