The 6 month expiration serves as a gentle nudge to add to our coffers every now and again but of course if your currently a supporter, you've donated in some shape or form at one point and this is indefinite.
It would be a ball ache for me to continuously monitor all subscriptions and renew myself. I get through as many as I can when I think on, but it would help a lot of you all just gave me that nudge to say it's expiring and to renew.
