OK we all agree we having massive problems scoring this year and we us evertonians have being screaming out for a decent srtiker. So in my self emposed exile ive being playing a bit of football manager and it brought my attention to a certain young belgium striker by the name of Romelu Lukaku who for some reason was bizarrely talented in the game. It got me curious on how he was like in real life. Romelu Lukaku (born 13 May 1993 in Antwerp, Belgium) is a Belgian footballer currently playing for Anderlecht and Belgium national football team. He is the son of professional footballer Roger Lukaku.

Club career
Lukaku made his highest level debut 24 May 2009, in the championship play off return against Standard Liège as a 69th minute substitute for defender Víctor Bernárdez.[2] Anderlecht lost the match 1-0. Lukaku signed his first professional contract 11 days before his debut, when he turned 16, he signed until 2012[3]. He scored his first goal at senior level against Zulte Waregem in the 89th minute. Lukaku substituted Kanu after 69 minutes.[4]

He averaged higher than a goal a game during his youth career: 68 goals in 68 matches with Lierse S.K. and 121 goals in 88 matches with Anderlecht.[5] Even though he was only 15 years of age, Lukaku managed to score 206 goals in 1 season against players 4 years older.

With his goals against Ajax in the 2009–10 UEFA Europa League on 17 December 2009, he became the third youngest goalscorer ever in a UEFA competition at 16 years 218 days, with only Nii Lamptey (who was also playing for Anderlecht at the time) and Niklas Bärkroth being younger.[6] On March 18, 2010, Lukaku scored a goal and provided an assist as Anderlecht beat Hamburger SV 4-3 in the Europa League.[7] Anderlecht had lost 3-1 in Hamburg, so this was Lukaku's final goal in Europe this campaign, having scored 4 goals. Anderlecht's exceptional talent became the top scorer of the regular season 2009–10 in the Belgian Pro League, the 16-year-old scoring 15 goals in 25 games.[8]

his junior record is most impressive as well as the amount of goals he has scored for his age! at 6ft3 he is an imposing ariel threat and could work extremely well with cahill at set peices and a mate of mine who lives in belgium recons his finishing is lethal for his age. im sure moyes probably knows about him but do you think it is a gamble worth taking?b)

feck yes. Would they want to sell. Would the price be reasonable. Probably not but worth a look. Pace, Height and skill - god he'd be a beast in a 4-5-1

Exactly what i was thinking would be awsome in our current system Mabye 6-7milllion be enought to settle the deal perhaps if we sold saha and bill didnt ge tight letting a few dollars go nowing moyes would probly flog some dead wood in january or next summer

You mean the Everton system. Why sign one great player when you can get two crap ones for the same price.

You need wingers and midfeilders who can suppliment for a second striker in addition from they should chip in anyway, when you play one up front, you also have to expect that your main striker wont score as much either.

*Stopping trying to turn every forward on your books in to Drogba and play to their strengths is likely to help as well.

Lukaku's been rumoured the stuffing out of during the last 1 1/2 year. That's why he's so awesome in FM. Or maybe because he's awesome in FM. Seeing how every top club in europe is after him and he's been called the new Drogba, one probably would have to pay closer to 15 mill. MINIMUM. Last time we paid that for a young belgian, it worked out fairly well, but it didn't really make us instant champions either.

Kid's ******* huge btw. 192 cm (to felli's 197) and still growing!
