Stray dogs

Growing up in Liverpool in the 70's and 80's there were stray dogs everywhere - sometimes packs of them! My wife, who is not from Liverpool, doesn't believe me when I tell her stray dogs used to invade my school's playground, fight with each other, refuse to leave and cause play and dinner time to be cancelled. You wouldn't mess with them!

Loads by me growing up.

People just used to let their dogs out all day and they used to all meet up and then terrorise the locals.

There were at least 2 we’ll known packs.
I remember one time seeing a young lad in a Dalek suit (obviously a birthday present). Being chased down the street by a gang of about 10 wild dogs. Poor lad was screaming.

Oh for a mobile phone in those days!

Sounds like a canine version of 'West Side Story'. I'm ashamed to say, the part about the lad in a Dalek suit had me laughing

Yeh Dovecot was the same, always remember a gang of dogs trotting down our road with doggy smiles on there faces and my mother said they must be going the park.

Knew all the dogs to avoid growing up as they were all let loose but I just don’t see loose dogs anymore.

70/30 this is a good thing.

One job i did the office was like a free range pound. Love em but not pooping and fighting when you gotta concentrate.
