i love the straq and he will defo be my lover one day!!

but for moyes he sees it as he has his marcus bent back!

Great that he got his first PL goal today, but I can't see him being the long-term answer to our problems upfront tbf. Like if Cech hadn't dived the wrong way it wouldn't have gone in! Even then it still came off him. Also he seemed to get caught offside quite a bit, and looked a bit lost when he had possession in our own half.

But you can't fault him for effort and causing problems for the opposition defence as has been said, so it will be interesting to see whether or not that is enough for him to be offered a permanent contract.

I'd like to see him up front with Jelavic. Playing together. With the decent width we have it would be potentially good. Plus he works hard and tracks back so would help negate the omission of Cahill when we have to tighten up the midfield when were under the cosh.

I'd love to see Straq in the Cahill 'hole' and a forward in front of him. Would have loved to see it against Wigan but it didn't happen. Would be nice to see it used in the cup or at QPR and only give the respect of playing today's formation/team to the better clubs. We need to be dominating the sh*te of this league as we have the team(at least for a couple more weeks) to do it.

Kudos to this man and his effort. I keep waiting for his heart to burst on the pitch though. He so obviously LOVES being with us.

And by the way - the team loves him too. Absolute joy for him when he scores.

Makes me misty.

P.S. He had some decent passing plays today. More than I expected really. If he continues to be above average, keep putting him out there!!!!
