Still a good start?

I think it's still been a good start - 16 from 9 in fifth place.

The big difference between this season and previous starts is that we never feel like we're out of a game -- multiple times Everton has gone down early and fought back for a draw or win, where in the past those would have been losses. However, on the flipside we've developed a nasty habit of conceding first which needs to be addressed, but it's not as if we never had that issue in seasons past.

A win at Fulham would put us on 19 points after 10 games, for an avg. of 1.9 points per game, which is about the pace we need to be at. The fixtures will get harder so getting back to winning vs. draws is the key.

Getting Gibbo/peanut back and shoring up the defense, I'm still fairly confident we could have a great season (5th place, possibly 4th if we get a bit of luck and no injuries).

We need to win on Sat for it to still be a good start, if we lose we will defo be down to 6th and could be as low as 9th with the rs 3 points behind us, then it doesn't look so good.

Of course either scenario is a good start compared to normal but forget about that, a good start really needs to see us sitting higher than 7th where we've finished last few seasons.

Doesn't mean its a bad start either, points wise we're still in touch with 4th place but 3 draws in a row need to end with a win not a loss or another draw.

Still a good start because Moyes has binned that negative sh1t albeit to improve his CV and avoid another "spurs" scenario when he ships out in the summer.

But his parting gift will remain, a 7th to 9th finish without beating you know who and binned out the cups.

The difference will be we'll have a crap second half of the season to balance out the better start - absolutely nailed on.

We need to beat a decent side again and Fulham are that especially at there place. It is important as Aside from UTD we have beat Swansea, Villa and Southampton. With the late 2 being absoloutley ****e and Swansea weren't much better when we beat them.

You appear to be making things up.

If we beat Fulham- often a problem for us- it'll still be a good start. We should've won the derby though. That and our points total from the last three games have put a bit of a dampeners on things for me.

just, but only 1 loss is very good. Think we had a fairly easy set of fixtures, but then add them altogether and you don't get 38 easy games in the premier league. We're struggling for a bit of form atm imo and not losing in that period is very vital, especially when going behind and not keeping clean sheets. Our attacking play is pleasing me and we've shown from our performances early on (Man Utd, Villa and Swansea) that we can beat anyone on our day, so when we do get our form back we will be racking up the wins.
