I think this new series is a lot funnier than the last. This week's had me pissing meself, like.

"The thing about me is I take people as I find them. I don't care what race you are, or what religion, or how rich you are or whatever. I take people as I find them and I find Al-Qaeda rude.

They're louts, no they are they're louts. And I'm sorry if that's not politically correct but I just don't like them."

Genius.

Searching for a thread dedicated to Stewart Lee and finding one has just saved my sanity.

He's brilliant. Can't wait to watch his latest, "Carpet Remnant World", but for posterity I've gotta post these.

His Top Gear rant:

... and his "the values of Carphone Warehouse" and p*sstake out of Russell Brand rant:

... and his rant at "young" comedians like Frankie Boyle hating the queens vagina. ^^

IMO he's the best there is out there at the moment. The best is when people don't understand what he's doing or think he's being completely serious. :D

Did he used to be on The Mary Whitehouse experience? Used to love that show and a few people from that have done well for themselves in comedy, first place I remember seeing David Baddiel and that Hugh guy from mock the week

Nope, he came from the pool of talent involved in creating the BBC radio comedies in the early 90s (On The Hour) which influenced The Day Today etc.

Chris Morris, Steve Coogan and Stewart Lee are three of the funniest men in the world IMO and all came about at the same time. Stewart Lee is the greatest stand-up comedian though. He's funny without ever telling an actual joke, it's a weird one to explain!

Another one of his classics, where he gives it to you straight, like a pear cider that's made from 100% pears:

Ah ok mistaken him for someone else. Saw a brief clip of Stewart Lee the other day and definitely looks worth a watch

Can't tell if serious. Is this where British Comedy is going?

He's like a morbid Ricky Gervais.... I'm trying to laugh about disabled children and wishing death on people but its tough Tubes!

Stewart Lee is the last person you'll find doing jokes about disabled kids. That's why it's great to see him take the piss out of people like Frankie Boyle- a man who's 'comedy' consists entirely of that.

^^ While there are some of us who think people like Top Gear purely because everyone claims it's ace, and Jeremy Clarkson is a man of wit and wisdom.

None of the above is true. Clarkson is a tit of the highest order.

As you were.

Yeah you've sort of missed the point here mate ^^ He's actually saying those things to take the p*ss out of those who say it and mean it. It's heightened rhetoric used to parody the original rhetoric.

It's clear if you watch the whole vid mate. :)

That said, therein lies the genius of Stewart Lee. It looks and feels like he's giving it to you straight, like a pear cider that's made from 100% pears.
