Spot on mate. Reinforcements in the next transfer window hopefully.

Apologies for taking the thread off topic, hope Naisy has his shooting boots on for Scotland this Friday.
To get it back on topic, of the available subpar options to play winger think Naismith who is best played there. At least he had one man of the match performance doing it which is more than the others can say!

What an atmosphere at last night game, that's what happens when you don't let the scruff Bristol orchestra with drums and trumpets in. It puts the England games to shame, Naismith was his usual self.

.......Naismith is just a proper footballer. I was comparing him to £25m Lallana and you'd at least have to think about it for a bit if offered a straight swap.

He was absolutely superb for Scotland last night, caused the Irish defence all sorts of problems with the positions he was taking up! I think John O'Shea would have had nightmares about Naismith last night!

I think the lad would fetch a large transfer fee at the moment, I wouldn't sell him though, he's invaluable to the team!

No chance, he's a kuyt type player who does a lot of running and pops up with a few goals. Them sort of players lack that real quality though and at 28 he wouldn't fetch more than £7-10 million

.....I don't think he lacks real quality, I think he's a smart footballer.

It's okay being smart but he doesn't have excellent pace, doesn't have excellent finishing (he misses some proper sitters) he doesn't have excellent passing or ball control/dribbling.

He's a decent player who is a work horse but he's not in the same ability bracket as a Barkley, mirallas or mccarthy imo

You can say that 'till you're blue in the face mate. Naismith is the latest flavour and there's no reasoning with some.

As said by sooooooo many of us, please tell me more why Naismith is not as sexy as barkley or mirillas ?

Because he doesn't have that ability level. He doesn't have the goal scoring record as a Klose type poacher type forward which he is, whilst he also doesn't have any key attributes to separate him from the rest of the squad.

he's the Scottish Dirk Kuyt, a work horse who pops up with some important goals and is loved by his respective fanbase.
