Player Valuation: £100m
On the signing of Jorden Henderon:

"It's a really positive signing. Let's hope he is the next Steven Gerrard,"

"Good football clubs replace their best players. Liverpool need a new Gerrard and need a new Jamie Carragher."

Not half bigging yourself up there Stevie,

"I saw Jordan at first hand for two or three days with England and he is a good player with energy."

Anyway getting back to self proclaimed Liverpool Legend Stevie G.

"I have confidence in what I can do. I am going to be in the best condition physically going into this season that I have been for the last 10 years.

"I am working doubly hard on my body, on my core and on strengthening my groin, which I have suffered with.

"The operation went well and I have nearly double the strength in the groin now than before. The physios at Liverpool are measuring that on a weekly basis and the results show that.

"I know I will be rusty in friendlies but I have confidence that I am going to be the freshest I have been, both mentally and physically, for a long, long time."

* The lads an ego maniac, who would have thouught they could have unearthed another overpriced, overpaid, overhyped fair haird midfeilder to repace him - get in!

Mastermind S.G. Aug 2010:

"[Lionel] Messi can do some amazing things, but anything he can do Joe can do as well, if not better. He used to shock us in training by doing footy tricks with a golf ball that most players can't even do with a football. I really fancy Joe for the [player of the year] award this season."

What the??

Sounds like they got a friggin bargain there. Or is he just going over the top?

Sounds a bit more of the old green-eyed monster to me - both in the setting of the achievement bar for Henderson at his (Stevie Me's) own "heroic" level, his own claim to be the RS's best player, and most importantly the emphasis on him not going anywhere soon that follows shortly afterwards.

Didn't Michael Owen say the exact thing word for word in 2009? Can you plagerize another footballers interview?

Hope he becomes their manager. Imagine when he buys some no mark like Danny Mills and he starts telling us the things he can do with a golf ball in training.

"Losing at Old Trafford and Goodison is the worst, although I never lose at Goodison!"
