That team was entirely signed under Walsh (or youth). Gana the only one approaching value for money.

Some of the worse value for money signings (for any club) in there: Bolasie, Sigurdsson, Williams, Tosun, Schneiderlin, Keane, Klaassen -makes my eyes bleed looking at those yet they cost £180m+. More on those wasters than almost any club in europe has ever spent.

Edit - forgot about Niasse but the fact Omar Niasse is our #1 striker despite Walsh scouring Europe for 18 months doesn't make it better.

So utterly out of his depth, it's frightening. The most inept, incompetent DoF in world football. Bullied by Koeman, spunked £200m and lobbies for his mate (a [Poor language removed] footballing dinosaur, disgraced England manager, already in retirement) to come in as one of world's highest paid mangers. I don't like this cat.

Go to Everton and waste all their budget on [Poor language removed] whilst getting rid of Lukaku, give it 18 months and they'll of booted you out. Let the dust settle then come back to us in 2020. Good Luck Agent SlyFox

What the hell is this guy thinking that he looked at our squad over three windows spent 250million and has still left gaping holes at striker, left back, centre back. That's without mentioning the poor ill suited buys he has made. I'd sack him now

23 mill on a midfielder the manager wont play.

27 mill on a striker a different manager wont play.

Walsh is the common denominator.

How do people like him , BFS , Pulis and Pardew keep getting a gig?

Should be gone as soon as we are safe - and a new structure put in place.

Should decide on the role and remit of the director of football.

Unsworth is already director of coaching and responsible for all levels below first team.
So presumably DoF is actually head of recruitment and scouting and, presumably, recruiting the first team coach? Given track record so far I'd sack Walsh immediately.
Does Unsworth get a say in first team coach appointment? Would seem strange to have a director of coaching and then appoint a first team coach with a different style altogether.

It is a mess.

Worst value spree in the history of football in the last 18 months. Not even hyperbole. The others I can think of (Leeds, Parma, Inter) at least signed good players. We've spent £200m on bog average, elderly, PL players.
