Problem is for teams like you and Villa, every year that ticks by without a significant trophy people do start to forget. Not saying we're held in any higher regard, but it's what happens. From the outside in, Everton do look like they have been left behind when all the other big boys have moved on. With new / expanded stadiums, rich investors etc. Perhaps now if your time again.

I think people do care about us, I've travelled a bit this year and the reception has been incredible from people. Randomers huggy you and wanting their picture with you because you support Leicester... been a weird old year. That will die off and stop, people will forget unless we do something else.

The likes of Milan aren't what they were, but they have still had champs league football, league and cup wins relatively recently. So it's still in peoples minds.
Fair point - it does trickle away and as u say I think our profile overseas is still due to the Derby games. With Milan it's a slippery slope. Five years without a trophy becomes ten quickly (ask arsenal).

I hope you guys do well again and don't do a Blackburn. I hope you hang onto your players and as I've said before, I hope you finish second. Behind us :)

I guess a fairer reflection would be us vs blackburn. They have won the league more recently than us but they are forgotten.

Yeah, already heard all the "Leicester will get relegated guff on talksport", laughable really.
The point they seem to have missed is they have had their great escape. The character they showed two seasons won them the league this year. No way will they go down. They've shown the bottle at both ends of the table and that counts for a lot (wish we'd had the same in our semi appearances this year and recent years)

And like the ITKs said its on. Rob Dorsett was the one who broke the "LCFC rejected Everton approach for Walsh", so if he is now saying its an agreed deal, than it really must be.
