Think it's ridiculous how entitled we all have become now that moshiri's millions are here, just because we have money now doesn't mean we are entitled to world class names like monchi, as well as mata, mourinho etc etc. rome wasn't built in a day was it!

"Just because we have money now"

Do we? Really?

I hope we do but I'm starting to think that maybe we haven't as much as we was lead to believe. Until we spend some obvs.

I feel like this could be a thread to itself.

But if Emery did turn us down for PSG (fair enough), and obviously Mourinho was waiting for United...who would have been the best? I agree Koeman isn't super exciting, but I think he may well have been the very best we could get (ignoring complete unknowns).
May well be the best we could get mate. I agree with you that once psg got a whiff of emery he was unobtainable and Jose was just us lot hoping and praying when we all knew he was never coming here.

I'm not putting koeman down by saying he is a safe choice, actually was my first choice as replacement back in March April time for the exact reasons I call him that. Come in, build a squad, improve league positions and improve the defence. If he does more than that then fantastic.

Be interesting to see what role Walsh will have should he come here. Will he just be a DOF or part time coach like he does at Leicester. I suspect koeman will be happy with his coaching staff and that walsh's role will solely focus on identifying, scouting and finalising deals for players as a DOF, something we so desperately lack at present.
