Steve Round - a bad choice?

Moyes is taking a lot of flak recently some warranted some less so. The Kenwright/board flak I do agree with.

However, my thoughts are towards Steve Round. When we had Irvine, we had an assistant that I doubt took much sH1t from Moyes, and clearly drilled the players well. When we went 1-0 up at home, it stayed that way. We didn't concede nearly as many soft goals as we do now.

Steve Round rarely seems to challenge Moyes' calls on the touchline, he clearly isn't drilling the players right (look at our set pieces) and our counter-attacking is toothless going forward, and awful defensively. Yes Moyes is responsible for how these lads are trained to an extent, but surely Round runs and designs these training sessions? If not, what is he there for??? To nod politely to Moyes on the touchline?

I see, had a look on the first 5 pages for a thread, didn't see one! Apologies.

Surely Everton have to look at his record? Baz Rathbone got booted last year for questionable physio results. Bring Ray Wilkins in? Would be a great assistant to work with Moyes.

Ray Wilkins would be great , for helping Mikel with his "crab-like" performances

David moyes chose to bring in another defender as his assistant. we clearly need some direction in our attacking play as both our manager and his assistant don't seem to have a clue.

Our biggest and most inportant signing would be a coach that understands attacking football.

Round doesn't seem to have had the best of influences on the squad and if you look down the m62 at the ole soak fervid, he always changes his coach every 2 or 3 years to keep things fresh and get new ideas in whilst keeping the face of continuity with the same manage. Time for a change in the back room

think we try to overplay the game myself, to many passes zonal at the back, we seem to overthink what were doing, its a simple game made hard by simple men

We do overplay we try to be like arsenal and we are not good enough for that.I myself cant really blame round because i dont know enough about what he does or how much impact he has got.
